SPRING NEWS:
John Pennington received a BACKSTAGE WEST GARLAND AWARD and a LA WEEKLY nomination for Best Choreography for his work in the stage production of A PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY at the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena.
The PDG received a Durfee ARC Grant for the upcoming performance at the Huntington Library and Gardens in San Marino, California on July 11th.
John Pennington was guest artist for Dancer's Workshop in Jackson, Wyoming and University of Wyoming in Laramie. He taught classes and set repertory through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts that supports American Masterpieces.
Emma Lew Thomas and John Pennington presented their work on German choreographer Harald Kreutzberg at the International Symposium on Dance Research in Paris, France on June 24th.

"Dancing the Botanical - Cross Pollination in the Arts"
The power of nature and art to inspire the creative process in dance is celebrated in "Dancing Botanical: Cross-Pollination in the Arts" by the award-winning Pennington Dance Group. Artistic Director John Pennington discusses how images of lotus plants and other flowers and trees influence his choreography, which is performed by member of the dance group accompanied by musicians and vocalists from the world-renowned Concord Ensemble. A pre-concert appetizer and wine package is available at an additional cost.
